Albany and Portland lined up for a preseason duel last Friday, only to meet up in Springfield.
Springfield ventured to Worcester, to meet up with Providence.
Meanwhile, Worcester hit the road to Connecticut for a matchup with the Quinnipiac Bobcats.
Conclusion: The Albany-Portland game in Springfield was cancelled at the second intermission, the zamboni overran the puck causing a flaw within the zamboni, and snow exploded all over the ice making the surface unplayable.
Time for the actual season.

Wow, I remember a few years ago I had a game at Varsity View and the game was cancelled during the intermission because the zamboni driver somehow managed to crash the zamboni into the boards. Not sure how that can possibly happen but the guy found a way.
