I though it was great and I heard they had enough footage for 4 hours. Maybe they'll re-edit and come out with a longer version.

Great show. Brought back many good (and some bad) memories.

Anyone get the feeling Zinger is a little bitter? Calling out the fans of the Jets 1.0 seemed tacky. m. I agree. He seemed very resentful. His interview was the only blemish on an otherwise magnificent insight into the story of the Jets.

His interview was the only blemish on an otherwise magnificent insight into the story of the Jets. That was the most interesting part fir me. Zinger seems really pissed, maybe he was right.... but every time he spoke he killed the mood. Bettman in the other hand was fantastic!!

I think we need to cut a little slack for Zinger. I'm not disagreeing with what people are saying. BUT....people in True North keep finding good hockey talent, and first rate professional players. Zinger has to be a big part of that. I think Zinger just calls it as he sees it. I kinda respect him for that. Sure that makes him a buzzkill sometimes, but it takes all kinds of people to make and organization work, and you really need people like Zinger - straight shooters who know good players with heart when they see them. IMO.

I've watched both documentaries (yeah I have MTS). I sure like them both. It would be nice to have both of them in DVD's. They are quite different in style and their approach to the subject. White Noise does a nice job with the May 19 celebrations. There are different interviews on each documentary. They work well side by side - one complements the other.

The attendance stats are what what they were.
The old arena was pretty shabby.
Water under some bridges now replaced.

I got the feeling Zinger loved the Moose more than the Jets. Even today... Almost as if he's glad the Jets are back, but he's even more upset the Moose are gone.

I think he's still wishing the Jets never had to leave.

Just watched it on the PVR from last night and logged on here to see if I was the only one who was...wondering, let's say, about Zinger's comments and general disposition. And I have to say, this isn't the first incident, seemingly every interview he does there's a bit of a negative vibe.
I get that he was proud as all hell about the Moose and how they built that organization up, and I'm sure he's a little put out that those accomplishments are being ignored and pushed aside. But you just never get the feeling he's fully embraced the "Jets 2.0". Everyone else in that documentary talked about the economy, the unsuitable building, and the changing NHL as reasons the franchise moved.... but Zinger just kept going back to empty seats and the fans could have saved the team if they filled them. That's just not true.

I am glad I am not the only one who has noticed Zinger's lack of enthusiasm for the Jets 2.0.
His arguement that a full building would have saved the Jets 1.0 back in 1996 is specious.
I think he views the groundswell of support the Jets 2.0 has received as people jumping on the bandwagon.
He worked hard to build the Moose but the Moose never received the attention nor the adulation like that of the Jets 2.0.
I think he has forgotten that he is not in the hockey business, he is in the entertainment business.
I watch the NHL and not the AHL because I am entertained more by NHL hockey.
Zinger would probably tell me that I am not a true hockey fan and he is probably right.
Nevertheless, I will support the Jets 2.0!

I hope MC watches this guy. All it takes is one person in an organization to be a cancer!

I hope MC watches this guy. All it takes is one person in an organization to be a cancer! He probably wasn't 100% with his comments about attendance and what not-but they guy basically made the Moose what they were on the ice for a decade (almost always competitive) and was widely regarded as a great talent evaluator. He has been with TN the entire time is hardly a cancer.

Heisinger did not edit the film or choose the clips. That said, I have been very unimpressed by almost everything he has said since the ROTJ became a reality. It's almost as if he misses being the top guy on the Moose and is sad the NHL has returned. Some of his comments come across as almost bitter. If he's sending these negative vibes, I hope he finds a different job. This is one of the biggest moments in the history of the city and...
