tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=373126REPORT: ZHERDEV BACK IN KHL AFTER ONE SEASON WITH FLYERS TSN.ca Staff 8/3/2011 11:42:37 AM Text Size Nikolai Zherdev's return to the National Hockey League was a short one, as Russian sports website Sport Express reports that the winger has signed a contract with Atlant Mytishchi of the KHL. Zherdev, 26, played with Atlant during the 2009-10 season after the New York Rangers walked away from his arbitration award. The Philadelphia Flyers signed him to a one-year contract last summer. Zherdev had 16 goals and 22 points in 56 games last season and was placed on waivers during the campaign. He played six seasons in the NHL, four with the Columbus Blue Jackets, one with the Flyers and one with the Rangers. Originally taken fourth overall by Columbus in the 2003 draft, Zherdev has 115 goals and 146 assists in 421 career NHL games.

The guy has a top 6 NHL offensive skill set imo. This is good news for the KHL though.

Another Daigle, imo.
Not that they're bad players, but you'll never get what you should out of them.

I wonder if he left because he was coming here or if he would have left regardless of which city he was going to?

I wonder if he left because he was coming here or if he would have left regardless of which city he was going to? I think he answered that, the KHL offered him more money than any NHL team.
