They introduced him and he never came out of the tunnel. I assume he didn't dress? But he wasn't introduced on the bench either

I was guessing that it was a mistake. Randy Jones had been scratched and wasn't playing.

I wonder if the coach will scratch him for the next game? If so, we can then see what Jones is made of. Hopefully Oduya learns his leason soon, and he becomes the type of player we expect him to be.

Would like to see Meech in the lineup for the next game, he had an oustanding pre-season and deserved to be in on Sunday!

Well I doubt the Jets will scratch Oduya on Thursday, it COULD have been just one bad game, but given how awful he was last year its likely a continuation. I wouldn't be surprised to see these as our defensive pairings:
Enstrom - Byfuglien Hainsey - Oduya Stuart - Bogosian
Hainsey is overpaid at 4.5M for the role he now fills, but is still a useful player to have around. He used to be a player with some offensive spark, but he's transitioned (effectively mind you) to a shut-down role. Bogosian/Stuart was a pretty solid pairing.

I don't understand Oduya... Wasn't he supposed to be a stud in New Jersey? Was he just never that good or did he regress?

It's early in the season.
I watched a fair bit of Oduya when he was in NJ & he'll be fine.
Jones is the 1 I can't understand the Jets signing.
