I think Burmi and Wheeler should get a shot at playing together they looked really good in camp, little chemistry.Someone needs to feed wheeler the puck when he is in full stride his first couple of steps need work.Little likes to carry the puck into the zone himself making his wingers stop at the blueline,Burmi can draw guys to him and dish the puck last second to a streaking Wheeler who seems to be most effective on the rush.I also think Fehr would fit well with Ladd and Little, what do you guys think(Ladd,Little,Fehr)(Kane,Burmi,Wheeler)(Maxwell,Wellwood,Antropov)(Glass,Slater,Thorburn).I also think Klingberg should get a shot on the 3rd line to really give the line some energy he started off slow in camp but looked really good last couple of games.Apparently he his flying in st.johns.Eventually would like to see Buff in the mix on forward replacing Antropov. Our D needs another Mark Stuart/Ron Hainsey type guy because Pavelec is a first Save only Goalie someone has to be there to clean up around the net.Thoughts?

I think there definitely needs to be some line juggling.
No question.
Scheiff is looking lost out there. Another year under Ducky should be better for him.

Are people starting to see that the pre-season isn't the post season?! I still have high-hopes for Scheifele, but it's cement in my mind now that he (and we) are better off with him in junior for 1 more year. At least in the long term. Especially considering he was practically benched the whole 3rd period.

I read on WFP that Noel was thinking about switching goalies, weird because I thought Pavelec played a great game last night and kept us in it. Hopefully hes just tired and not getting benched.

I thought he had a so-so game he is really struggling controlling the pucks on rebounds,2 soft goals again that could have been the difference although the team really didn't do much to help themselves.

Scheifele.... Especially considering he was practically benched the whole 3rd period. They were trying to win, not give him ice time like they did in the preseason!

Pavelec's side-to-side speed is below average too. With that said, majority of the 9 goals allowed weren't really his fault. Especially the Montreal game. 3-4 goals where the forward was in alone put a bullet right above Ondrej's shoulder. My guess is the plan for Ondrej is to start 55-59 games, so I'm sure Mason will have a start or two in the next week (5 games in next 8 days).
Lines will have to be juggled. Thorburn-Slater-Glass have exceeded expectations, so they'll stick together like you said. Ladd has not played well, especially in off puck positioning. Little brings the puck in, but usually can't pass it to Ladd because Ladd hasn't gotten himself open. Ladd's made this mistake in all 3 zones. On Montreal's first goal - Oduya's turnover - notice how all 3 forwards were on the weak side of the ice giving Oduya no easy pass. That's because Ladd was on the wrong side and didn't skate over to his side to create a passing lane for Oduya. If Ladd's on his side, we would've never spoke of this goal.

Kane has to get more ice time.

Ladd-Burmistrov-Little Kane-Scheifele-Wheeler Thorburn-Antropov-Wellwood
Burmistrov and Scheifele get big upgrades on wingers... If either of them can boost their offensive numbers, that would be a good way to find out...
