Don't subscribe to Shaw. They will lie to you in order to get your business.

MTS thought it would be fun to send me two invoices last month with two separate account numbers.
They all suck.

Exactly shaw doesn't control center ice, get bell or mts if you want more games, center ice won't have any jets games as they are all on either CBC, tsn or tsn jets. So they would be blacked out on center ice. It sucks that shaw doesn't offer a west coast CBC feed, guess your $ would have been better spent on a bell system.

I've been very happy with MTS. Love how you can switch your packages in an instant if there's something else you wanna watch. Having HD on every tv plus a pvr on every tv is so great.

Same with Shaw, you can actually even goto thier website, sign in and change your programming without even calling them (Shaw Direct).

They're all bad.
They'll tell you what you want to hear just to get your business.
Shaw, btw, is steadily rolling out its Shaw Gateway which gives you the same type of system (but better) as MTS. It allows recording of 6 different stations / programs at the same time which can be set / viewed from any room in the house (or cardboard-O-minium if you're homeless - humour for those who have a sense of same). You have to buy the receivers which can be expensive as every TV needs a box to hook up to the main receiver.

MTS was slow in responding to SHAW getting in the home phone business just as SHAW has been slow in responding to MTS' superior TV service.
When SHAW rolled out Home Phone I called MTS and gave them a chance to keep my business by matching what SHAW was offering. They kept going around in circles with complicated packages. I made it simple - match the offer and keep me or lose me. They couldnt do it and I walked (it also didnt help their cause that when they were a Monopoly, customer service didnt matter one iota).
I have found SHAW pretty good at offering make goods. If MTS offers something like extra receivers, SHAW will also match that (I bought my SHAW HD PVR early on at huge expense though). We also had a low signal issue in our home requiring a new main line and they gave us a 50% discount for over a year until the cable was replaced.
