NewsCorp, which owns Prime Ticket, which brings the NHL and MLB to many US markets--including here in Southern California for Los Angeles and Anahem/Orange Counties--is at odds with DirecTV... If a deal isn't reached by November 1st, DirecTV will pull the channels... Meaning a SEVERE LACK OF SO. CAL HOCKEY ACTION...NO DUCKS OR KINGS! They'd better come to an arrangement...if I miss Thanksgiving hockey, December 17th, Xmas hockey, New Years Eve and Day hockey--my birthday!--and the playoff rush... ANY Ducks hockey lost will be the worst shutout loss ever!

And now the Ducks are trailing 3-1 to the Stars...not a good night for Anaheim hockey...

Are the games on NHL Center Ice or is it the local feed that would be cut?

Dunno--either way, my dad would never pay for that, he doesn't care about hockey, and my tutoring bit doesn't come close to paying for it...
So even though I am PISSED they lost to the effing Yotes 5-4 tonight--Hiller was just horrible, and we had a lackluster attendance night...though I blame that on the Yotes a bit, watch, where they go, bad attendance follows, no one wants to see them except Quebec's Nordiques National Army, and that's for totally different reasons--I 'll be even more p-o'ed if I lose the games.
I could still catch the radio feeds via my Sirius/XM, but especially for hockey, its not the same...
For baseball you can get away with that a bit more, I'm a Mets fan, 3,000 miles away from Queens, NY, but I still catch the Mets games via Howie Rose and Wayne Hagin calling them, and that's alright, grab a coke and a good book and a scorecard, and read and drink and enjoy it that way when the Mets aren't on National TV/MLB Network/playing the Dodgers or Angels...
But that just doesn't work for hockey, does it?

I heard the attendance for the Coyotes game on Dec 1 is expected to be a sellout... m.

True, but that can be chalked up to 15 years worth of payback.
