Steve Simmons of TSN's That's Hockey 2Nite just said that Ovechkin is in a season and a half slump and that the "O" in Ovechkin stands for overpaid. Discuss

Look at his surrounding cast. 1 person can't do it all by his self.

But if you look historiclly at the great players they develop thier game as thier careers progress. Stevie Y changed his game mid careeer in detriot and Crosby was critizied for not shooting enough a couple years ago so he went out and spent a whole offseason working on his shot and scored 51 goals in 09-10. Ovi hasnet done anything with his game since joining the league and guys are starting to figure him out. He just carries it down the wing and then shoots. That played a large part in the production drop he had last year, from 50 goals and 109 points in 09-10 to 32 goals and 85 points in 10-11. He is currently on pace for 88 points this year.

That video is absolutely hilarious. I sure hope the Caps players remind him of that from time to time.

it depends how you look at. the team is winning. I rather make the stanley cup finals with 30 to 40 goals instead, scoring 60 goals and getting kicked out in the first round

I disagree with that. Ovi has developed a more well rounded game in the past couple of seasons.
