www.ontariohockeyleague.com/video/index/id/48ab97fe8228256acd0aa4e7141d9f4dVideo w/ explanation and the hit itself - OUCH During a recent game between the Niagara Ice Dogs and Kitchener Rangers, Niagara forward and Penguins prospect Tom Kuhnhackl delivered an illegal hit to the head of Rangers defenseman and Hurricanes prospect Ryan Murphy. Murphy was injured on the play and the OHL suspended Kuhnhackl for 20 games.

WTF was this kid thinking? Did he not see the hit from last year (was it?) that was also behind the net and netted a massive suspension? You guys are NHL prospects now you possibly ruined yours and the other guys career. He came flying in from another time zone without slowing down one bit not too mention leaving his feet. If I was the 2nd defenseman, Kuhnhackl's head may have been seperated from his neck.

I dont follow OHL at all but if anyone here does can you say whether that kid has a history of playing cheap like that?

Last year was his rookie year in the O and he was hurt for most of it, and he led the Windsor Spitfires in playoff scoring when he came back. He doesn't have a history that I know of. Ironically, Kuhnhackl had been traded to the Ice Dogs just the week before the incident.

I think it was the right call by the OHL. but it doesn't help when Ryan had his head down
