My Shaw Direct has been having problems. It started out as once a game where the entire system re-boots itself during the game. Now it is happening 3-4 times a game where the entire signal is lost for a minute while the entire receiver is re-booted. Very annoying.

Its similar to what happens during a receiver refresh. Only happens on the one HD receiver downstairs where I usually watch the Jets games to get away from the family.

Yes, that is exactly what I have going on with my HD receiver while watching the HD Jets channel. Very annoying, I hope that Shaw remedies this ASAP.

And you are with Shaw ...why?...MTS rocks....no problems whatsoever!!! Nothing special at all about MTS, parents have numerous problems with incoming phone calls knocking out the internet and they didn't have Sportsnet One last year for the Flames/Oilers games.

I was forced to upgrade my receivers to get NHL Centre Ice this year though. That could be why I haven't had issues. I know my old Starchoice DVR was about as solid as the Jets 1.0 business plan... m.

Once you start paying Shaw $9.95 per month Shaw will stop sending signals to your satellite box telling it to reboot, etc.

Hit pause for 2 minutes or so, and then resume.
With so many receivers in the house possibly using TV services, bandwidth could be an issue.
this trick should work.

I got the new Shaw Gateway throughout the house.. I have Centre ICE (live in Calgary). so I get every TSN/Jets game... I have not had one issue... I get to see every game in HD...
