Could be worth a pick - up. Rich Peverly was one of the best waiver mwire pickups, and Comeau with a new home could be a key addition to a 3rd line.

Man the Islanders are giving up on all their young talent. Comeau had 24 goals last year. who's next? Grabner?

I say pick him up. Doesn't work out put back on waivers and the Isles will pick him up again like the Yotes did with Maclean.

Blake Comeau is trending on twitter lol. Alot of fans want him on their team.. I wonder who will actually get him Well waiver claim priority is apparently done by the standings, so this is everyone ahead of us at the moment in terms of from the bottom up: 1) Columbus 2) Anaheim 3) Calgary 4) Colorado 5) Carolina 6) Winnipeg.

You're kinda right. Since some teams have played more games than others pure standings would be unfair. It goes by winning percentage. In this case the top 6 are the same but its not necessarily the same as the league standings. There's a website that orders the NHL standings by the winning percentage and thus how waiver selections are allocated. nhltruestandings.com/

I got a feeling Columbus will pick him up. Interesting, I didn't know thats how waivers worked. Remember that there are cap issues. Anaheim, Calgary and Columbus are pretty close to the cap. I don't think Calgary and Columbus could even fit Comeau's 2.5M contract into their lineup without going over. I figure if Winnipeg wants to claim, then the only serious competition would be Carolina and whether they decided to claim or not.

So will we pick him up? If we do and he works out, who goes? I'm guessing Jaffray since he's the only one with a two way contract. or Stapleton could get sent down despite only having a one way.
