It's not public knowledge yet Any idea what Montreal gave up for him if this turns out to be true? That would be a big trade but I'm assuming if it's true Montreal likely gave up a lot.

No word yet. "player" in question has 48 hours to wave his NTC. Rumor around canucks office is it's iggy. No word on who Montreal is looking to unload but would not surprise me to see camelarri as part of the deal

Camelari was a popular player in Calgary so this would not surprise me.

Is Montreal a "Stanley Cup Contender"? Why would Iggy waive his NTC to go to the Habs?

Iggy going to Habs. Unbelievable. Until you produce a link this is nothing more than completely unsubstantiated rumour.

Habs aren't a Cup Contender. Why would he do it then?

I wouldn't say unsubstantial rumour coming from someone with as good of a track record as Jetsfan88. If he says it's a possibillity, its not a rumour, theres smoke there. It might not happen but theres definetly something going on and a good chance it may turn out to be true!

Is Montreal a "Stanley Cup Contender"? Why would Iggy waive his NTC to go to the Habs? I agree with you somewhat although I could still see him accepting a trade like that. To me though, it would be a strange deal for Montreal. Do they really consider themselves a contender this year? Maybe they do, but I sure don't and Iginla is the type of player any contender would want but for a bubble team like Montreal I wouldn't want to give up the future for a guy with only a couple seasons left in the tank.

While I agree major changes need to happen in Calgary, I don't think trading Iggy is one of them. I would sooner see them trade Kipper than Iggy.
