While having Iggy on the Jets would be nice, I think he'll be looking for a current Stanley Cup contender, not a future one.
However, stranger things have happened.

I was thinking Boston, but do they have the legs to go the distance? To be honest, I don't really have much knowledge about the league in general, or who has what points etc, so that's why I was asking you guys! But it's also who could fit in well at Calgary, which I guess at the minute is young prospects and draft picks, but I think the owners'll be too stubborn to change things at the minute. Are they pressing the self-destruct button?

With the Flames history of trades we could Iggy for Oduya and Wheeler, but the flames should trade away Iggy Kipper and Tanguay and collect Picks and prospects time to rebuild and those players have some value I think jetsfan47's on the money. Calgary fans aren't going to begrudge a low place in the standings if they know their team's on the build and that there's light at the end of the tunnel. All these guys can be proud of their time as Flames. Trade them now to cup contenders and reap the benefits of the prospects they bring!

The problem is Flames ownership want to build a new building to replace the Saddledome and they need full houses to pay for it.
This is difficult if you do a full rebuild.

I said the rumor I got which was WELL before all the talk started in the media he was up for a trade with Montreal and Camellerri name was out there. It was also said the player in question would need to waive his no trade clause and the talk was it was Iggy. There was a story released regarding teams iggy said he would consider and Montreal was NOT one of them.

The Flames should trade Iggy to a competitive team for his final year or two. I would love to watch him hoist the cup before he retires.

Flames ownership does not have a palate for this.
