Our eyes on the East Coast, Ryan Fancey takes a look at the arrested development of Patrice Cormier: Something I’ve noticed since the beginning of the IceCaps season is how much I’m simply looking around the ice to find Patrice Cormier. Why? Well, to be quite honest, Cormier was a name I immediately recognized when I found out that St. John’s would be housing many of the Jets’ players in waiting. He’s been touted as one of their top prospects, and for good reason. To read the entire article, click here: illegalcurve.com/2011/12/02/on-the-farm-are-the-icecaps-using-cormier-properly/

I totally forgot about Cormier.
Interesting that no teammates came to his aid when he was knocked down, they must not like him very much.

Um, NHL? 3rd line centre is pretty much where Cormier's ceiling is. A very good third line centre, but he just doesn't have the scoring prowess to earn a consisten top six spot long term.

He's having a cruddy year in St. John's and didn't impress me at all in the exhibition games. I say 3rd line is the most we could hope for out of him.

Well I don't think anyone had been suggesting that he'd be anything more than a third liner anyways. For Cormier to mold into a top six player would require him adding a scoring touch that he never had even in junior.
