I'm confused, TSN since the US loss mentioned many times that the US-Canada game would not be for first even if the US beat the Czechs because Canada had the goal differential.
In today's Free Press and Sun they both talk about the Canada -US game deciding first (again IF the US beats the Czechs)
So what is the tie breaker if both teams have the same number of points, goal differential or head to head?

i believe it doesnt matter now. from how i understand it ( and i havent checked the standings once) with the loss today by the states, they are now ELIMINATED from medal contention. ok, just checked. the Americans still have a "shot" at medalling, but they cannot win the group now. Canada has clinched first place. now for the Amercians to even get a chance to medal they need to beat canada AND they need Denmark to beat Finland tonight. so, chances are that tomorrows game between USA V Canada will be meaningless as i cannot see the Danes winning tonight. thanks for coming USA you under-acheived yet again.

The tie breaker between 2 teams is the game played between the 2 teams, since no game ends in a tie that would be it.
If it is a 3 team tie it goes to the most points between the games involving the 3 teams.
eg. If it was Canada, US and CZE tied. The following games would be used
CAN vs. US CAN vs. CZE CZE vs. US
