May I ask then, EA worker, sir...
How many created players can you make in the game?
Because I would like to make All-Time Rosters for each team and fill them with, boviously quite a few created players for old-time legends and hometown heroes and such...

Honestly I'm not 100% sure, but my guess would be that its related to licensing costs. I am dont know NHL-alumni & NHLPA relationship...I know in NBA for example MJ has his own costs outside of the NBA players...so I'd guess the NHL has a similar situation. In the end video games have a bottom line and a short production schedule + capacity to make changes...so you would likely find effort being put towards things like active goalies instead of 1996 Winnipeg Jet teams.

NCAA has a really good web app to do stuff like this called team builder. It's not with the NHL franchise unfortunately. I'll certainly raise this to the team as I agree, its a fun way to add replayability.

Is that sort of how in NHL 11 you can select from a list of names during be a pro and the announcer will call you that. My last name could be Moohead, but they call me Tootoo? It could work really well that way, just have lots of legends names with voiceover work and you could make your own. I am sure EASHL would have 40,000 gretzkys playing online.

I bought NHL 10 second-hand for $10 and got some good play-time out of it. First NHL game I'd bought since NHL95 for Super Nintendo.
Eagerly anticipating the release of 12. I know a few friends will be picking it up. Brother in law is a huge Bruins fan, so now I can kick his ass as the local team. heh.

I loved the additions in NHL11 and eagerly await this years version. The new physics engine looks like it's going to add a lot.

I'll certainly raise this to the team as I agree, its a fun way to add replayability. With all the systems having internet connections, it would be awesome to see some web-based creation tools. I'd love to see the NHL games incorporate Game Face. I was surprised at how well it worked a couple of years ago when I bought Tiger Woods 10, and I can only imagine they've made improvements. Would also be cool to be able to import your own head shot instead of using the picture of your ingame player.

Yeah everyone finally decided to enjoy their summer I guess. Good idea to take a bit of a break though before the next game comes out. Will give new drive to it when it comes out.

What system are you guys on for EASHL? Toss me your gamertags if anyones on Xbox....kinda feel like joining a team this year and would rather join up with people who will use Jets jerseys as opposed to Canucks ones
