I loved the additions in NHL11 and eagerly await this years version. The new physics engine looks like it's going to add a lot. It's not so much the board hits that I've noticed, it's more so the hits in open ice are far more accurate in terms of how each skater ends up. The angle and speed of both skaters makes a way bigger difference than it ever has. There is no question that with the Jets you have a smaller squad. Breaking through the defence with a quick player, catching the right angle and accelerating (without getting obliterated by a dman almost automatically) is now a very common occurrence. If you make the dman turn his hips you got him...a feeling you didn't really get last year in my opinion. I may be a little bias, but just wait until you see FIFA 12 do this 11 v 11...literally you are seeing parts of the FIFA 12 engine in more EA games then you might think. Pixel Perfect collision? The steps that physics and animation has taken in the past few years I've been involved in gaming is phenomonal. The gameplay changes in NHL this year are great, each year it's closing the gap on gameplay that isn't in the game.

FIFA 12 is the one game the EA has really done well with. i have owned every fifa game since the beginning. hands down the best game EA has ever made. once Konami started making pro evolution soccer and making their game better than EA, the FIFA franchise were determined to get back top spot. NHL and MADDEN NEED the competition to keep getting better.
