I think there would be a ton of interest in Ice Cap games. Not enough for TSN to justify televising them. Paying for all the staff that it takes to get the game on TV and all that, etc etc.... wouldn't make sense for them. It's not as if it would be done to NHL standards, but Moose games were televised and I think there is probably as much if not more interest in Ice Caps hockey now that the Jets are back. So I'm not sure your arguement is true, but more importantly, apparently the games are already televised in St. Johns so it would just be a matter of paying to broadcast it - and for AHL hockey I can't see the cost being that high. Throw in a bit of behind the scenes Jets footage (like Sportsnet does with the Oilers) and you would have a few hours of solid coverage that would attract enough viewers to sell advertising.
