My heart is in my stomach. That's just terrible news! There arn't words to describe how hard it is to hear of any 27 year passing. Way to young!

I hope you are at peace Rick. You were one of my favourite pats when you played for them, and I was excited to see you in a jets uniform.
My thoughts to you and you family.

After a very stressful day I came on here to relax and wind down for bed, only to hear this terrible news. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

He would have been the perfect Jet. Heart, hard work, and tenacious toughness.
Goodbye Rick.

Thoughts and prayers, Rick. God Bless.
Depression, clinical or otherwise, is a terrible thing. It doesn't matter what else is going on in your life. You can have every reason to be happy, have no reason to be unhappy, and yet you're still miserable. I'm so sorry for his family - and I hope they can find solace and support in each other as they try to make sense of this terrible time.

This hurts a lot as a Canucks fan, a lot. We've had some very tragic passing's, and this hurts as much as Luc Bourdon's. I'll be drooping around the next few days, there's no doubt, and it's starting to hurt to even talk/post about it now. One of the best pound for pound fighters in the NHL. So many memories. So many great fights.
Too young, and too soon.
Miss you already Rick.

Very sad news, he was a great person and hockey player. He played hard and with heart every game wouldve made the Jets jersey proud. RIP
