Tonight's Game 5 at Mohegan Sun Arena between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Hershey Bears was going to decide who the IceCaps were going to host in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. The Pens scored 2 goals :07 apart, and that was all they needed in a 2-1 win over the Bears, eliminating them from the playoffs. This means that the IceCaps will host Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in a 2-3-2 series, starting on Tuesday, May 1, at Mile One Centre. All times Central for the convenience of you Winnipeggers. Game 1: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at St. John's - May 1, 5:00 CT Game 2: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at St. John's - May 2, 5:00 CT Game 3: St. John's at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton - May 5, 6:05 CT Game 4: St. John's at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton - May 6, 3:05 CT Game 5: St. John's at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton - May 8, 6:05 CT* Game 6: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at St. John's - May 11, 5:00 CT* Game 7: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at St. John's - May 12, 5:00 CT* Also, if you're wondering who I - a WBS season ticket holder but IceCaps fan - will be pulling for, here's your answer: GO CAPS GO!!

I gotta say that Ice Caps logo has grown on me. As has the name. When I hear 'Ice Cap' I think hockey not coffee. Didn't think that'd be the case back in September.
Go Caps Go!

It has grown on me too. I like how they incorporated the shape of Labrador and NF into the berg. Pretty nicely done logo.

Wilkes BARELY beat Hershey (took them 5, winning Game 5 by 1 goal, the two Pens goals were 7 seconds apart), and Pasquale is miles better than Dany Sabourin. The Pens did have one more point than the IceCaps, but the Caps pretty much went easy when they knew they had the division wrapped up and Norfolk was uncatchable.

I'm looking forward to this series.
I want to see how the IceCaps come together now that they have most of their injured players back.
