The hot dogs are great... beer is great..... not gonna get picky about what I can and can't eat in the upper deck! 313 is the second loudest section in the entire rink. I'd love to see a new scoreboard! Our's is dinky. I don't spend a lot of time watching the scoreboard because my seats are awesome. However.... a new scoreboard would make the MTS center a little more 21st century. From what I have been led to believe, new scoreboard as well as huge investments in upgraded Audio and "bells and whistles" for game day presentation. Of course in the past I have also been led to believe many things that turned out to be patently false.

Thing as it relates to the scoreboard is that they raise it up into the rafters (between beams) during other events. The current board just fits into the girder grid. They would have to rework the rafters to accomodate a larger scoreboard. I'm sure its possible, but is it something they want to do?

I don't really care about the size of the scoreboard, but upgrading the quality of the video would be nice. And they really need to do something about the audio. Right now they just have a bunch of small speakers seemingly cranked all the way up. They'd be better served with a more powerful sound system operating at 70-80%. Same volume, clearer sound.

TV's are great and all but one thing that I really enjoyed at the Excel Energy Center In St.Paul was that they had the radio play by play broadcast in the washroom so you wouldnt miss anything while you went on with your buisiness. They also replayed the Radio playby play audio for the re-play of Minnesota goals on the jumbo tron...kinda cool.

I know that they had that in the Suite level... not sure about upper or lower concourse, though.
Great idea on the TVs, though. With the length if that line at intermission... it was needed for sure.

i'm hoping they do a complete paint job in the concourses...Jet 2.0 colors of course...liven the joint up a little! also, i still don't understand the complaints about our scoreboard and what not...its the right size for the arena...i sit in the upper-deck for my season tickets and can see everything just fine on there..i even watch the play on there when its in the corner that is partially blocked. better things to spend on our money on than some cheesy in-game entertainment. our score board is so bunk compared to other arenas. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the worst in the NHL right now. Montreals is amazing, and they also have THX sound in the building. fyi, when you hear the OLE ish, it's for the most part playing on the loud speakers. I was in the building and couldn't tell at first that it was recorded. (i'm sure at times its obviously loud with crowd noise, just not when I was there) I would love a scoreboard upgrade, and I'm sure the people sitting behind the net feel the same.

Have been told that a five year plan is in place for upgrades in MTS. This includes looking at adding extra suites around top part of the building same level as pressbox however closer to the exterior walls, new ribbon banner sign (twice as thick), scoreboard upgrade to and hd screen and a lot of astetic upgrades. This was from a reliable source.
