Uh, your new $400 million luxury hockey palace in Edmonton is going to blow away the MTS Centre in every conceivable way, shape & form when it opens in a few years...

Was at the MTS Centre Jets Gear store today doing some shopping and when I inquired about the lack of MTSC events in August to a clerk he informed me the building IS[/u] going through some modifications and renovations this month! Apparently True North is doing all the renovations they didn't have time to do last year. I didn't press for details but I probably should have. Anyways, exciting news! Now lets just hope the season starts on time... Let the speculation as to what these modifications/renovations are BEGIN! ;D.....

I hope they have a few more of those screens. Doesn't really make sense to just have one at one end of the concourse.
Would be nice to watch game intermission stuff on those screens. Hopefully they have good sound as I would expect a lot of noise from the people.

Put 'em in the upperdeck washrooms so I can actually catch some of the next period as I wait in line to relieve myself.

Would be sad if True North spent, say, $2 million in building improvements for the Jets, just in time for the first preseason game in September... and then the entire 2012-13 gets cancelled.

^ Well its not like itll go to waste, we'll have hockey again eventually. Will we? The bar is set pretty high - last time they destroyed the entire season. Maybe this time the goal will be to destroy the entire league.... m.

Im fairly sure neither the owners nor the players are actually determined to destroy hockey.

Im fairly sure neither the owners nor the players are actually determined to destroy hockey. I'm at a point where I want to take a page from Don Vito. If someone I care about is struck by a bolt of lightning I plan on blaming the NHLPA and NHL... m.

If any of you are attending events at the MTS Centre in September (i'm pretty sure there will not be an NHL preseason), post any changes or enhancements here!
Very anxious to see what they've been working on all this month...
