That's a shame. Liked his play last year. Defensive depth took a hit with Flood and Kulda leaving.

It wouldve been tough to have given Flood a 1 way deal seeing how we have 7 defencemen committed this year on 1 way contracts. Wish Flood the best.

I wish him luck in the KHL.

Our defensive depth has really gone down the toilet. I was really hoping Flood would be back next year.

Pretty odd. The Jets never risked sending him back down to the AHL because they were certain he'd be claimed on waivers. Now no one wants him? Either that or the KHL made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
Seems strange to me why he'd choose that path rather than stick with the NHL.

Flood was a great guy. Saw him almost every day that he was in town. He even dropped off tickets to the final game for us. Didn't play a lot so I hope this opportunity works out for him. Sad to see him go, but he wouldn't have cracked the lineup.

Odds are he's going to be on their #1 D-line, he's probably getting paid a ton, and he gets to be part of the rebirth of Lokomotiv.
Sounds like he made a pretty good decision.

All the best to Flood, can't blame any player for exercising other options.

Funny the Jets were the first team to start taking players from Russia, guess it's payback time.

We can't really blame the guy if he's offered a lot more money to play there. Players have a relatively short earning timeline so they really do need to capitalize on their potential, especially when you're somewhat of a fringe player like Flood. They owe it to themselves and to their families. All the best to him.

I'm not sure if I ever considered Flood to be a fringe player (though I think I know what you mean.) I guess Chevy didn't rate him high enough, that's all.
