Anyone else find it a little strange there are ZERO events at MTSC in a 6-week period?
I'm certainly not complaining, just find it odd - and I'm hoping it's to improve and renovate the place a little before season 2 starts!
(even though I'm pretty happy with MTSC as is)

I'm hoping it's for some needed facility improvements so I'll go with that. Not sure what they could be doing that would require shutting the place down for a month though.

It's a slow month in the west.Cal has no events,Ed & Van have 2 events going on over many days.

Probably a mix of modifications to the arena and giving the staff a break after a long season.

If True North is making modifications and renovations to the MTS Centre this month, how come we've heard absolutely nothing about it? Something really, really fishy is going on here...  |

UPDATE:
Was at the MTS Centre Jets Gear store today doing some shopping and when I inquired about the lack of MTSC events in August to a clerk he informed me the building IS going through some modifications and renovations this month! Apparently True North is doing all the renovations they didn't have time to do last year. I didn't press for details but I probably should have. Anyways, exciting news!
Now lets just hope the season starts on time...
