I hope the Jets will call him up periodically to fill the 4th line checking role.

Glad to see him back. He will, once again, prove to be a very good player and leader at the AHL level and will help develop the younger guys. I also wouldn't mind seeing him called up once in a while.

Good to see him with the IceCaps, loved him with the Moose.
However as a potential call-up, I would prefer players like Cormier and Klingberg to be called up ahead of time, players with legitimate chances to make the team and stick with the Jets.

I completely agree. I'm just sentimental. But, sentimentality doesn't win hockey games, I guess.

How is he overrated and by whom? They re-signed the team captain, works for me in my books! Doesn't hurt he's proven himself at the A level either. The way things are going now, we might need a TSN Ice Caps channel for our hockey fix this year...

WTF? Care to explain how so? He's had a great AHL career and is a great leader on the farm for the younger players. We're not signing him for $5 mil to be our 1st line center so I have no idea what you mean by stating he's overrated.

Jaffray was one of my all time favorite Moose players and I totally agree with you on calling up the younger guys first, Jaffray is a great AHL player and a great leader for the IceCaps but not so much in the NHL

He's the next Jimmy Roy, They're going to keep him around until he retires and then give him a front office job.
