Well the media and ppl may say,the Jets will have a brutal distance to travel in the first season, sure the distance between teams may be far to get to,but the Jets wont be flying home after every game, thats why its called a road trip. I decided to check it out for myself using this www.sportmapworld.com/map/ice-hockey/north-america/nhl/The total I came up with is 43.451.5 miles. 56 travel days (I think)at an avg of 775.9mi per trip Looking at the last 3 seasons of travel for teams, including Atlanta in to the mix,the Jets would rank as follow's out of 31 teams for most distance traveled. 08/09=18th 09/10=19th (500 miles short of 17th) 10/11=19th To note, other teams travel distance would change because they would no longer travel to Atlanta, but now to winnipeg in the future. All in all,I dont think the season will be as bad as ppl would have you want to believe.
