I was listening to the Buck Pierce show on CJOB last night and noticed one presenting thing, the man has difficulty speaking and articulating his words, I am in no way making any fun of this and wonder if this is as a result of multiple hits to the head?
I understand some people are not natural speakers, but this was in my opinion a struggle every few words to tie words or sentences together.
Anyone else notice this?

I think it was Irving that mentioned this. As for whether or not he is our starter, I like the guy, i like that he has made our city his home year round, I wish he wasn't so injury prone. Our other two QB's haven't done much while he was out, is tht the system or the player?

Good post USApegger. Agreed. I second this. and a karma for USA I do like Buck, and while he seems to be injury prone, at least he plays with his heart and good character and these two qualities seem to be lacking on the team this year, which is becoming more and more evident. And frustrating to me. I will back my team, through wins and especially losses, when I see them genuinely trying but when I see them laughing on the sidelines this offends me as a fan and I have no patience for that.

I noticed it right away when he was first interviewed prior to his first season with the Bombers. He talks really fast, he'll often pause, think hard about how to put his words together and then speed up again. I don't think it has anything necessarily to do with hits to the head. Some people just have a difficult time speaking clearly. It's a wonder how he is able to communicate to the offence when he's out there and under a 20-second play clock.

He's not a great public speaker but not bad...I sure wouldn't beat the guy up over it. He offers up some good perspectives from what I've heard and I think he's actually improved a quite a bit since he started. I give him a world of cred for taking on this role that he's probably not all that comfortable in. Says a lot about his character I think. JMHO

I would probably not speak to the media at all, so good on him.

Public speaking is the least of his problems, he needs more calcium in his diet to harden up them bones! ;D

Im sure its been stated on here (and certainly other places) that Buck actually has a speaking issue (stuttering or something) that he has had to work on and overcome. Considering his position, the radio show and the immense respect he has across the league as a leader, I'd commend him for overcoming those issues.
He sounds fine to me. I know many people with no speech problems who cant string together a sentence in front of others.

I can't star a thread on my iPhone so using this to comment.
With the Bombers releasing Brink today I hope they have some good news for us.
This is what Bob Irving tweeted "@bobirvingcjob: The cutting of alex brink means the bombers will likely sign both chase clement and max hall. Or maybe trade for kevin glenn"
God I hope the Kevin Glenn part is wrong. I don't know enough about the other two.

Bombers just confirmed inking Hall & Clement. It's so hard to know if they are anything worth getting excited about. I always wondered why it's so difficult to find CFL QB's.

Brink being released seems dumb, since Buck never lasts a whole 18 games, Brink is a solid #2 or at worst #3 QB, he was more durable than Buck. remember that dirty hit to the head he took by i think MTL, he got right up then joked about it after the game, don't like this move
thanks for the "A"
