what are your favourite memories of old Winnipeg Stadium? what did you love?..what did you hate?
Football wise it was the Head To Head Days, specifacally the Eskimos v Bombers followed by a short walk across the road to then catch the Oilers vJets!!...talk about getting drunk!!...just awesome. never to be had again. Other than football, my best memory has to be the Pink Floyd concert and my worst had to be the David Bowie concert.not because David Bowie was bad, but that i was trapped no matter where i was as Duran Duran played. Couldnt escape them as they were the last act before Bowie to get on stage.
the 99 Pan Games was also a highlight.

1991 Grey Cup. 50+ thousand fans, every seat sold out. Only -18 celsius but by the time I got to my seat near the top of the temporary endzone bleachers the coffee I bought five minutes prior was cold.
Beer was nice and cold though.

Late 70 s / Early 80 s , working for ritz foods selling popcorn and peanuts, etc, at the stadium/ arena , it was my first ever job, and the best memory was being asked by trevor kennerd to catch and retrieve the footballs during the warm up period..... Plus in the late 80s, I woke up in center field , a bunch of us snuck in and had a midnight football game.........ahhhh the memories.

Meeting the 1994 Bomber team during and after a practice at Winnipeg Stadium. It was windy and raining. Scott Oake was there and was complaining about the weather while Bob Irving was laughing at him. I got a bunch of autographs and photos. Matt Dunigan and Chris Walby were the nicest players to meet and get autographs from.
Haven't been back to Winnipeg since.

My first game was in 1974 ish aI think, we were up here for a couple weeks of summer vacation from Chicago and my Grandpa took me to the game, they had season tickets on the west side, good seats compared to where we sat for Bears games at Soldier Field.
Anyway I remember it was third and one and i was screaming at the sideline, why are you punting! My grandpa then explained the CFL and 3 down football. If I remember correctly Chuck Ealy played for the Bombers but I think Dieter came in after half time.
The Brockbusters game in the 80's also was a great memory

rushing the field after a win in 90's, one of those hot summer nights. Double fisted running across the field, tripped and spilled both beers on Dave Ritchie.

For me, it was watching Milt break the touchdown record.
