I've never considered Ikea furniture to be over-priced at all. In fact, I believe their furniture products to be very inexpensive and are aimed at first-time apartment dwellers and college kids moving into their dorms.
Their kitchens etc. are higher-priced though.

No riots reported? I'm picturing an excited, happy crowd. Much like The Burning Man festival in Nevada.
I'm hoping that there will be a Zombie walk through IKEA before the end of the year!!

Their kitchens etc. are higher-priced though. I find they have a good mix of stuff depending on the quality you're looking for but its all reasonably priced. But seriously if all you want to do is get some basic furniture for an apartment it can't be beat. You can get a coffee table for $25. And there's something to be said for being able to take home your furniture the day you buy it. I'm still waiting for some furniture I bought from a local store a month ago. Expected to wait another month. How was the traffic around the IKEA today? I don't live in the area but overheard some people on the elevator this morning saying the traffic wasn't bad at all. They speculated that people were avoiding the area cause of the assumed traffic

Their kitchens etc. are higher-priced though. Hmmm... After reading this I took a minute to check out their website. I'm still not a fan of the style but you're right - the prices are solid. Too bad they don't have any home office furniture that I like. My desk is falling apart around me and I need to replace it ASAP. m.

I love Ikea! I was telling my boyfriend the other day that Ikea had the restaurant and he was all surprised. I have taken my cousin there to go play in the ball room we walk around a little bit, check out all the neat oh stuff they've got and get a hot dog . Especially on a rainy day it's an outing

Ikea is a great place to spend a couple hours if you're bored and looking for something to do.
