I was just down that way this weekend (went to Los Chicos Saturday night) for the first time in 6 months. Somebody please tell me why the f*ck they put that bloody traffic light right after Sterling Lyon (at Lowson) How fricken stupid is that. I never understood our city planning but I'm sure as hell glad I don't live around there and have to drive on that part of route 90 very often. And right after that traffic light it goes back down to 2 lanes for some brilliant reason.

I'm certain someone requested lights at Lowson because of turning traffic. Instead they should have built a feeder road to direct traffic to Sterling Lyon. In fact, perhaps they should close that street at Kenaston and use a feeder only. The two lanes is also the problem north of Sterling Lyon. The roads have to be expanded to three lanes in each direction.

Cant say I wont be going to IKEA as I admit I kinda like it.... IMO IKEA is a great addition to the city...either you like it or you hate it....either way you still have to admit that it is a Bell weather sign that the city is doing well. I'm far more excited about the huge Cabellas going up right across the street from IKEA.

I have to pass there every morning at opening time to come to work... BRUTAL already and it's not even open yet. Taking Pembina or Waverly is my plan... 5000+ others unfortunately have the same plan. F

It's good for Winnipeg, but frankly...you get what you pay for.
I've purchased around $300 worth of IKEA items because of my wife. All we have left is a small cutting board.
The store is full of cheap trendy crap that isn't worth shyte.
That's my opinion anyway.

Easy to assemble, tough to maintain.

They are already lined up to get into the parking lot at 1130 PM It's because the first 1000 people in line have a chance to win $5000 to spend at ikea.

At 7:00 they estimated there were 800+ in the line. If the weather was better there surely would be many more.

IKEA is overrated. However, congratulations to Winnipeg on one finally opening after all these years.

The city is planning on expanding kenaston to 3 lanes by the barracks to the north but the ownership of the land is currently in the courts.

Ikea is like modern art for me. Fans go on and on about what they think is a magical piece but all I see is an overpriced table. A very plain table at that.
But to each their own - I'm not into modern art but I'm happy we have the WAG in the city.
