So I read via Winnipeg Free Press that Brandon was the only city in the country to bid for the 2017 Canada Games and they were rejected...what a blow right? not really.. if the city isnt willing to upgrade the pool ( main issue) to 8 lanes which is games minimum then i guess they lose out.. there was some other issues to but the pool was the main issue. Manitoba has until the end of the month to select another city to host the game.. Only problem is Winnipeg is the only city in Manitoba that has a swimming pool with 8 lanes. Should Winnipeg go for it or stay out of it.. It was projected that Brandon would of had $100M economic development. I'm not sure for Winnipeg. So i ask because Winnipeg has a reputation for hosting more " higher class" events..should Winnipeg just go for it or let it go to another province?

I can not understand a reason why Winnipeg wouldn't want to host the Canada games.
