The JHF Virtual Gaming Pool continues it's profitable ways!
Ottawa - $100 loss Boston - $ 50 gain ($100 bet at -200 odds) Washington - $155 gain ($100 bet at +155 odds) Pittsburgh - $124 gain ($100 bet at +124) Long Island - $69 gain ($100 bet at -145)
Thus we're up a virtual $298!
(For those following at home I've been tracking how we vote on the results of Jets games and calculating the net result for a $100 virtual bet).
Big kudos for the JHF voters who bucked the trend and picked the Jets to beat the Isles. The betting on vBookie went $8329 on the Isles with only $4522 on the Jets. Profitable!
How will the Canadiens game pay off? The moneyline opened at +135/-160 with the Jets as the dogs.
Hence a $100 bet on the Jets will pay $135 of profit while $100 on the Habs will pay $63 of profit.
Who do you like?

Sorry - Montreal in regulation. There's just something about the Jets and not being able to win in Montreal. I hate watching these particular games.

I think the Habs will take this one, unfortunately. The team and the crowd will be fired up for Subban's return.

I see no reason to turn on my team now. Jets in regulation...I dunno, 6-3 seems about right.

Confidence can take an average team and make them play above average, I'll take the Jets!

Jets have played tougher teams, and the team play doesn't resemble the Jets of last yr at all.
5-2 (empty netter).

If I'd known that Mike Johnson was doing the colour commentary I wouldn't have felt as good about the Jets chances. That guy just sucks the life out of a Jets game...IMO.

Poll was tied so I get the tiebreaker. I called a Habs win so the JHF winning streak continues....
Pretty crappy 'bright side'.
