Well the JHF crew picked a winner in Manhattan! I'm sure we're all feeling sad for Torts Ottawa - $100 loss Boston - $ 50 gain ($100 bet at -200 odds) Washington - $155 gain ($100 bet at +155 odds) Pittsburgh - $124 gain ($100 bet at +124) Long Island - $69 gain ($100 bet at -145) Montreal - $63 gain ($100 bet at -160) Florida - $100 loss Tampa - $57 gain Florida - $70 gain Toronto - $100 loss Ottawa - $100 loss Philly - $100 loss Pens - $67 profit Bruins - $71 profit Buffalo - $135 profit Carolina - $135 profit Philly - $100 loss New Jersey - $100 loss Rangers - $140 profit Thus we're up a virtual $436! (For those following at home I've been tracking how we vote on the results of Jets games and calculating the net result for a $100 virtual bet). Moneyline: The Jets are the favourites! +100/-110. (I didn't say they were big favourites...) Thus a winning bet on the Jets gets $91 profit while a winning wager on the Devils gets $100 profit. Who do you like? m.

I just don't see the Devils losing two in a row to the Jets. 3-2 Devils. Prove me wrong, boys. Prove me wrong.

I'm betting they will come out hard and fast. If the momentum can be held I don't think it's gonna be close. So Jets 4 Devils 1.

GDT isn't up yet so I'll post here rather than creating a new thread.
Has anyone else noticed that the Hangar hasn't been as loud this year as it was almost every game last year? I'm not sure why (losing more at home doesn't help obviously) but I expect tonight will be very loud.
Let's get it going people!

The crowd starts strong and the Jets need to feed off that. They score, the crowd gets louder, Jets feed on it, make great plays, dominate, crowd feeds off Jets, Jets feed off crowd. It's a symbiotic thing and one symbiant hasn't been holding up their end of the bargain at MTS. m.

It's certainly the biggest factor, but I still haven't been able to quite get it out of my head that it just hasn't quite been the same this year, even at the start of games. Just in my head?

Its not uncommon for teams to have a let down after returning from a road trip.

Its not uncommon for teams to have a let down after returning from a road trip. I haven't had much luck predicting Jets losses lately. They have a pleasant habit of winning games they should, on paper, lose when predict a Jets loss. I think you're correct about the road trip letdown being a common thing. Hence, I'm taking the Devils, changing my earlier thought. m.
