A few of the Mexican players deserved to get a punch in the face, this is a tournament where run differential counts. getting into a hissy fit because Canada was still trying to score shows you're too stupid to know the rules.
Canada plays the US this afternoon to see who goes to the next round, Canada will be major underdogs because of all the players mostly pitchers that refused to play afraid they might break a fingernail. Good for Morneau and Votto and the others for showing national pride, With all the injuries Morneau has gone through if anyone had the right to say no it was him, Instead he's playing and showing great leadership skills. GO CANADA!

And Canada follows up the scrum with a loss to the United States and gets eliminated from the tournament. What can you expect when Canada's major league starters all turn their backs on Canada, We had mostly AA & AAA pitchers facing a virtual US All star team.

Gotta hand it to the Canadian boys, they gave them all they had and we were hanging with them most of the game. America was just too stacked and our pitching was minor league quality.

No one saw any Canadian pitchers throw at the Italian team. Canada knew and respected the rules, unlike Mexico.
The WBC is a bit of a joke, anyway. None of the superstars are there because of Spring Training and contracts. This tournament reminds me of the World Hockey Championships.

None of the superstars are there because of Spring Training and contracts. This tournament reminds me of the World Hockey Championships. It is the only difference is the US could field 20 competitive teams. Canada needed it's best players, Another difference is with the WHC. players want to start the off season, Players that refused to play for Canada in baseball were at spring training, working out and playing as much as they would have with Team Canada.
