Here's how this works: Each franchise nominates 3 Moments from its history. (And yes, the "History of the Winnipeg Jets" includes the 1972-96 years, they WERE the Jets after all...it's not as if PHX cares...) These can be anything from player signings to playoff victories to hoisting the Cup and so on and so forth. These do NOT have to be positive moments...so feel free to "express" certain "moves" as being definitive in a negative way, if you feel that way. From those 90 moments, we will choose the Top 30 out of that 90 via +/-1 voting, ie, you vote +1 for one moment and -1 for another. You CANNOT vote consecutive times in a row, someone must vote in-between, for example: Selanne: +1 Steen: +1 Selanne: +1 Instead of Selanne-Selanne-Selanne (as much as we all love The Great #8...er...13 You have to give us that much, OUR uniform number makes for a catchier nickname, as if The Finnish Flash wasn't enough already!) Once the list is whittled down to 30, we'll reset the votes, then we'll be counting down, from #30 to #1... THE MOST DEFINING MOMENTS IN NHL HISTORY! So, let's get started!

My picks for the Most Definitive Moments in the History of the Anaheim Ducks:
1. Teemu Selanne comes to the Ducks (Legitimized the Ducks as a franchise and CAL as a hockey state)
2. Ducks trump Senators in 5 to win the Stanley Cup (First California/West Coast team to hoist the Cup)
3. The 2003 Stanley Cup playoff run (Finally beating the Red Wings, the 5OT win over DAL, Giggy's record-setting run, "Off the floor and on the scoarboard!"...take your pick)

1. The awarding of the WHA franchise back in 72 2. The stupidest decision to move the franchise to PHX in 96 (which galvanized hockey fans in WPG) 3. The RETURN of the Winnipeg Jets May 2011.
...yet to come...the Season Opener -- when we BLOW THE ROOF off the MTS Centre and show Hockey Nation that Hockey belongs in Canada!

Unfortunately I did not start watching Hockey until the 2005-06 season so I missed the glory days of my New Jersey Devils: My definitve moments would be:
1. Not only sweeping, but absolutely destroying the New York Rangers in the 2006 playoffs. We outscored them 17-4 in that Series. 2. Marty breaking Bernie Parent's (Former Flyers goalie) single season wins record IN Philadelphia in April 2007. 3. Marty's 500th Win against the Flyers in November 2007. 4. Marty breaking Patrick Roy's record of career wins on St. Patrick's Day, 2009. 5. Marty's 600th win, in Atlanta against the Thrashers (Now your Winnipeg Jets).
