If thats true, he obviously mis spoke. He watches the games. He offers a lot of good insight as a pro athlete. I don't know, I really never listen anymore in the mornings. I usually listen in the afternoons but just go with music of some sort on the drive to work... I'm sure he would have good insight to CFL football but I doubt he knows a whole lot more than the average fan about hockey. In fact it seems like he knows less! He didn't just mis-speak though. I still remember he went on a big long rant about how the Jets seem to play run and gun hockey in overtime. And how maybe they should change their style against divisional opponent - they can keep playing that way against the other conference but since the extra point is so valuable why risk giving it to the other team if they are in your division? I remember how painful it was cuz he kept going on and on and you could just tell he was about to suggest they play for a tie. Jay tried to cut him off, and that was when he finally blurted it out that they should play for the tie against divisional teams! *head slap I'm not a Lawless fan but I can live with him. I don't try to hate on reporters really because you'll never agree with one all the time (except Cherry ). But when a guy clearly doesn't get the basic rules of the game that's just too much for me...

Anyone who follows him on Twitter knows he watches the games.
He has a lot more insight into the mind of a professional athlete than anyone of us. Thats my point. He's been a pro athlete.

That cut deep I'm not a wiener! Take it back! ;D I'm glad you have a sense of humour, Tim. Some people need to lighten up. There's nothing wrong with being a wiener. It's the dancing hotdogs that bother me.
