the more i say the name, the more i like it. New Zealand has the All-Blacks and nobody dares say that that name is horrible.
when do they start play?.....this season or next?

To me as similiar as "all-blacks" is on the face of it to redblacks, it's still quite different. All blacks physically makes sense as a word. Redblacks is two colours thrown together into a pretend word! I'll admit it's starting to "sound less strange" to me the more I hear it, but I still honestly just think it's a terrible name.

I think if they had picked the Ottawa RED AND BLACK (similar to Laval's name) I would have liked it.
Like jetsorbust said, it just turned into some nonsensical pretend word.

The name is also growing on me. It's a nod to the past and I think it's better than Renegades, and we don't need to hear the Rough Riders/Roughriders jokes again. I think Redblacks sounds strong. Didn't really like it at first.
