Here is a list I came up with in no particular order.
2007 New York Giants beat 16-0 New England Patriots in the Super Bowl ruining a perfect season.
How about the 2004 Boston Red Sox come back from 3-0 to beat the Yankees and go on to win their 1st world series since 1918. Dodgers over Oakland A's in 1988 was a huge upset(Kirk Gibson homerun off Eckersley)
2004 Detroit Pistons beat the LA Lakers in NBA finals who had Shaq, Kobe, Gary Payton and Karl Malone. 2004 Pistons were the only team since the 1970's to win an NBA championship without a true superstar/franchise player.
1994-95 Houston Rockets won the NBA title as the 6th seed beating Orlando in the NBA finals and taking out other teams(forgot who) along the way.
1993-94 8th seeded Denver Nuggets become the 1st 8th seed to upset a number 1 seed beating the Seattle Supersonics.(remember Muntumbo's reaction with the ball over his head)
1990 Cincinnati reds upset the might steroid filled Oakland A's 4 games to none in World Series.
1998 Denver Broncos beat the Brett Farve/Reggie White Green Bay Packers(John Elway wins his 1st super bowl)
1980 US beats Soviet Union in hockey(miracle on ice)
1996 Jacksonville Jaguars beat number 1 seed Denver Broncos in Mile High Stadium. Jacksonville was a 3rd year expansion team
1999 New York Knicks as an 8th seed knock out number1 seed Miami and number2 seed Indiana and go to NBA finals becoming 1st 8th seed to ever make NBA finals.
2006 St. Louis Cardinals win only 83 games worst of any playoff team ever but go on to win the World Series beating Detroit.

Buster Douglas takes down Mike Tyson. Y.E. Yang comes from behind to beat Tiger Woods at PGA Championship. Appalachian State beats Michigan at the Big House. John Daly wins the 1991 PGA Championship as the 9th alternate. David (Boise State) takes down Goliath (Oklahoma State) in Fiesta Bowl with Statue of Liberty play. NC State defeats Houston (Phi Slamma Jamma) in 1983 NCAA Championship. NY Jets beat Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl 3.

For soccer fans, Greece winning Euro 2004? Another one I meant to put down was Belarus upsetting Sweden in 2002 in Salt Lake on a 70ft. slapshot that clanked off Salo's head. Another fun Olympic one was Steven Bradbury winning short track speed skating gold for Australia. Way back of the pack, the 4 competitors in front of him crashed all together on the last turn and he was able to cross first.
