I missed the announcement but apparently TSN 1290 will have Blue Jays games, upwards of 100. I assume there would have to be conflicts with Goldeyes games. What would the plan be there?
Also how long is CjoB deal with the bombers?

Goldeyes moving to the FM dial? Not sure about that move... cuts out a lot of rural listeners, no?
Love that 1290 picking up the Jays. Hopefully a bit more baseball focus during the summer months now. No offense to the Goldeyes, but...

Point taken - although my rye and coke comment was in jest as well. What is a sports forum without some ball busting, eh?

It will also be nice to not have to hope that Winkler's 1570 CKMW station comes in clearly during the odd time I'm in the car and looking for the Jays game on the radio dial...

Hopefully a bit more baseball focus during the summer months now. No offense to the Goldeyes, but... What station is playing the Goldeyes? I feel like this will hurt their exposure, because few people are going to tune into some unheard of station to seek them out... TSN 1290 gave them exposure on a station that people actually click over to randomly. I.e. 1290 is on my "favourites" list in my car so I'd end up hearing some Goldeyes play by play without really trying to. Anyways, the goldeyes are what they are. What I was really going to say is - will a move to FM cut out a lot of rural listeners? I have my doubts! TSN 1290 freaking sucks for reception! I can't drive 60 klicks before I lose their signal at the best of times. I wish Jets games were on CJOB solely for this reason, but medium term I really just wish 1290 would boost their reception.

I love this..the only other station that plays Jays games is Winkler that doesnt realy come in that well.. I love sitting outside in the summer evenings by a fire and a beverage listing to the jays. Although they havnt really done much since '93 its still great. There is something different about baseball and radio that just kinda works...
