There must be ownership issues. Why else would there be empty seats? m. Ah yes the old ownership issues LOL. The Toronto NFL "fans" actually do sound kind of like Coyote fans with all their excuses. Some of my favorites were 1.Tickets are still too expensive(they are only 17 bucks more than the NFL average, you only have 1 game per year, I'm sure you could have found even cheaper tickets someplace given the game only drew 38,000 some people) 2.I can't tailgate 3.I want a better team than the Bills and I'll go to games(If you really wanted the NFL you would have come regardless, this was a potential test run and you failed it. If you did get a team it probably would be the Bills. It's not like the Packers or Patriots are relocating) 4. They are called the Buffalo Bills. If they were called Toronto Bills I'd go(again if you wanted a team you'd show up and not give the impression you'd rather have CFL or don't care much for football at all) 5. Just give me my own Toronto team and a new stadium even though we can't support 1 single game per year and we fail at supporting the CFL too. We will be buying the expensive PSL seats to privately fund a new stadium left and right if given the chance even though there is no evidence we can support either NFL or CFL. LOL

Bills are just not going to toronto, Rogers Center is not good enough, id take the Ralph over it.
and of course 400m to escape the lease and rochester billionaires waiting to buy the team off of ralph when he dies.

^^^ Yep, there is 0 chance of the NFL accepting the Rogers Centre. Goodall said the same thing a few years ago. 54,000 seats is a joke for NFL. Smallest capacity in the NFL excluding Oakland is Chicago at 61,500. Oakland is at 53,200 but that's counting the tarped off Mt. Davis. Plus Rogers Centre is circular and the seating angles are so bad for NFL they had to block off portions lower deck seats.(see photo I posted the other day)
Ralph Wilson Stadium is far from perfect but it beats the hell out of Rogers Centre for football and I'm sure in 7 years they will announce further renovations. They will do something like the Kansas City Chiefs did with Arrowhead Stadium but scaled down just a bit.

Don't lose sight of the fact the blue jays want the place for themselves and the Argos must find a new home. Why would they allow the NFL after booting out a longtime football tenant?

Don't lose sight of the fact the blue jays want the place for themselves and the Argos must find a new home. Why would they allow the NFL after booting out a longtime football tenant? The reason they are booting out the Argos is because they are installing a grass field and it is against league rules for CFL teams to play on grass fields. The only reason they dont have real grass in there right now is because of the CFL, the NFL has no rules about playing on grass.

Even if CFL could play on grass it wouldn't work because you still have to "rotate" the stands for football. With a grass field you can't do that. You can't pick up a grass field like you can field turf.

Toronto can't support the CFL does anyone honestly think the NFL has any shot at all? Stupid idea, put the team in Winnipeg.

^^^Ummmm..... Hell no! Rogers was idiotic to renew the Bills in Toronto series. It would have been smarter to take the money they are paying the Bills and just light it on fire.

^^ MLSE wants an NFL team in Torotno maybe they think they can make it work. Toronto is a Maple Leafs city, and band wagon jumpers on anything other than the Leafs.

^^^ MLSE is insane if they think they are getting a team or that they think they can make it work. They are being used and they are too dumb to realize it.
Disagree about Toronto fans being band wagon jumpers. The Raptors draw well and there is definitely no band wagon to be jumped on there. Jays fans deserve a pass considering the circumstances. They haven't made the playoffs since 93, they play in a circular mostly outdated dome, the ownership is a pathetic joke more interested in propping up a foreign cities team(Buffalo Bills) than doing anything for the Jays. Considering the circumstances the Jays draw well. Give them a real owner and park they'd be a top 10-12 team.
Toronto is a horrific disaster for football though. Football fans are too split between CFL/NFL so they suck at supporting either.
