There is a lot of talk about needing to be bigger playing in the west. Having said that the smallest D-man and forward at the World Juniors are Jets property.Interesting.

Heisinger told me that Nic Petan plays like a six footer and Morrissey is 6 ft. The jets seem to do well in drafting good players and gotta give the scouting dept. credit. Yes, I wanted 6-4 Anthony Mantha and 6-5 Frederik Gauthier but unfortunately we have only so many picks. As it stands now, we have less picks for next years draft.

The jets have tried to be big and fast. But they also seem to draft who they think will be the best player. We have some big guys coming up. A line of Petans might not work but one petan between two big guys could.

Did anyone see Petan's goal assisted by McDavid today.
How good would they look doing that in Jets uniforms?

Anyone watch Team USA's Andrew Copp? Another BIG forward and property (6'1 201 lbs) of the Winnipeg Jets. Good athlete too..he could've made it as a Quarterback but chose to pursue hockey instead.

Copp looks a-ok plus watch the Jet prospect with the Czech team, defenceman Jan Kostalek 6foot 185.He is having a good year with Rimouski Oceanic in the Quebec league.
