The flames have announced they are moving the heat out of bc after this season. The canucks will likely put their team in the city as quickly as possible but the flames have not announced whe their farm team will play next season.

St.Johns is so far from Calgary... How about Saskatoon?

I would bet on them moving to Calgary Flames, Hitmen, and Heat...Calgary is a booming town and a hockey town at that...but three hockey teams....might be a bit much?

There were rumours last year the Canucks and Flames would switch farm teams so it wouldn;t surprise me if the Comets went to Abbotsford and the heat go to Utica or somewhere close by in New York State

Flames to move AHL franchise to Glens Falls
The American Hockey League's Board of Governors on Monday approved the relocation of the franchise owned by the Calgary Flames from Abbotsford, B.C., to Glens Falls, N.Y., beginning next season.
The Flames' AHL franchise will begin play this fall at the Glens Falls Civic Center, which had been home to the Adirondack Phantoms since 2009. The Phantoms had been previously granted approval to relocate to Allentown, Pa., where they will begin play as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms this fall.
"Glens Falls has had a terrific history with the American Hockey League and will be an ideal location and environment for the development of our prospects," Flames general manager Brad Treliving said. "When we announced on April 15 our discontinuation of operations in the city of Abbotsford, we had a few options available to us and there was much speculation about Glens Falls. There has been a high level of interest demonstrated to ensure the AHL remains in that market. We look forward to finalizing details and beginning this new partnership."

So the City of Abbotsford bought the Flames out?

^ I think the Flames are the ones who ended the agreement, they were losing a lot of money in Abbotsford. Apparently the Canucks are looking to end their agreement in Utica to move the team to Abbotsford as quickly as possible but they signed a 6 year deal so who knows.
