Realistically only 2 teams have a chance of winning in USA and Canada, Iroquois can make waves though.
USA beat canada 10-7 in game 1.
For canadians, They are no longer just Indoor players trying to adapt.
A lot of canadian kids now see the opportunity to get scholarships in the united states playing the field game. To me Box has never made much sense other than a money grab by rink owners. Why play a summer sport indoors? The field game continues to grow at the collegiate level in the US and will absolutely expand to bigger schools in the BIg 10 and ACC meaning rosters are going to need more canadians to fill the demand.
Now you can look at this canadian team that has all ncaa or MLL players.

is this outdoor lacross championships? The reason it think the league went with indoor box lacross is its not a big enough draw to warrant a mls, mlb or nfl pitch to play on. It would be a cool experience to watch a game outdoors and you could get your own row.

There was one canadian MLL team but they are suspended until the hamilton stadium can be rebuilt. As MLL eventually moves west id like to see them go to vancouver and put another team in ontario in toronto. Box is popular in canada because rink owners needed a way to make money when the snow melted. But field lacrosse is growing in canadian box circles because the best players are getting recruited to go play in america for scholarships and good educations. Not a bad system. i read an article. Canada had like 100 college players a few years ago its up to like 250 now and continues to grow as more programs expand. Field outdoor lacrosse is just better business for canadian kids looking to advance.

What MLL can do to get good deals in stadiums is agree to play day games only, and give concessions to the owning team that way it makes it a decent activity to run and not many games.
Id love to see canada get 3 or 4 MLL teams

Sweden finished 11th after an 8-6 win over New Zealand in the 11th place game.
But hey, we beat Finland before that in the classification bracket play-in. Any time Sweden beats Finland is considered a success in my mind. Normally I like Russian hockey, but I'm irked they beat us to avoid a dream matchup of Finland/Sweden for the gold at IIHF Worlds. (But hey, we're still ranked #1, and Finland lost the final anyway, so I'm not complaining)

^ I didn't know you were Swedish I'm not, I just cheer for Sweden in any sporting event they play in. For games without them I have a special set of rules: 1. If Croatia is playing, cheer for them. 2. Never root for Canada or the USA. If the two play against each other, root for USA. 3. Never root for Finland or Norway, unless rule 2 is in effect. If the two play against each other, root for Norway. 4. Never root for Serbia unless rule 2 or 3 is in effect. 5. Never root for Denmark unless Patrick Bjorkstrand is playing or rules 2, 3, or 4 are in effect. 6. Never root for a South American soccer team, unless it's Colombia. If two non-Colombia teams meet, cheer for the lesser team. 7. Root for the country with less success in the given competition. 8. If push comes to shove, cheer for Europe.
