The Kansas City Royals just beat the Chicago White Sox 3-1 clinching their 1st playoff birth since 1985!!! The Jays now have the longest playoff drought by quite a bit.
List of playoff droughts
1.Toronto 1993 2. Seattle 2001(they have an outside chance to catch Oakland for the wild card yet) 3. Miami 2003 4. Houston 2005 5. San Diego 2006 6. New York Mets 2006 7. Chicago White Sox 2008 8. Chicago Cubs 2008 9. Colorado Rockies 2009 10. Minnesota Twins 2010 11. Arizona Diamondbacks 2011 12. Philadelphia Phillies 2011 13. Milwaukee Brewers 2011 14. Texas Rangers 2012 15. New York Yankees 2012 16. Cincinnati Reds 2013 17. Cleveland Indians 2013 18. Atlanta Braves 2013 19. Tampa Bay Rays 2013 20. Boston Redsox
Will make it this year
21. St. Louis Cardinals 22. Pittsburgh Pirates 23. San Francisco Giants 24. Baltimore Orioles 25. Detroit Tigers 26. Kansas City Royals 27. Los Angeles Angeles 28. Los Angeles Dodgers 29. Washington Nationals 30. Oakland A's(if Seattle does catch them they still made the playoffs last year)
Something else to factor in. Once Oakland and Tampa get new stadiums either in their current cities or Montreal the Jays will have the last cookie cutter left and unlike those 2 teams they don't want a new stadium to improve themselves.
When you factor in the playoff drought+ the choice to keep a bad park long term I'd have to say
Blue Jays inspite of good fans and a huge market=the worst organization in MLB.
Free the Blue Jays, down with Rogers!!!!! Rogers should sell them to someone who cares. Toronto fans deserve so much better!

Im pulling for balitmore.
I like Duquette i thought he got a bad rap..his teams ran into a buzzsaw in those late 90s early 2000s yankees, 2003 was just a poor manager ..that was his shortcoming a manager in all reality.

He rubbed a lot of people the wrong way too! Biggest thing that killed him was when he let Clemens go. It was the right move except he didn't know Clemens would magically rebound because he started juicing.
I wouldn't mind if Baltimore won but I'm pulling for a Kansas City vs. Pittsburgh world series. If that don't happen I hope the Washington Nationals win it all. Them beating Baltimore in a belt way series would be cool.

Oakland is realing. Wouldn't mind seeing them win though. I just hope the Cardinals, Angeles and Giants don't win. I hate the Cardinals and the Giants won too much already too! Angels won too recently too.
I wouldn't mind the Dodgers winning. They haven't won since 88 and I have a soft spot for them because of Dodger Stadium and the I love LA song they play after wins.

Bean has never gotten it. THEY LOST in the early 2000s because of HITTING Not pitching. they always had pitching they couldnt hit, instead they trade for lester who will end up back in boston next year and sent their power hitter.

Don't think Lester is going back to Boston. It would be cool if he did. From what I've read they are going to go after cheaper options like James Shields. It wasn't just the Boston trade that killed the offense. Brandon Moss is badly hurt and will need major hip surgery after the season. Check out his 2nd half numbers.

LOL. The way you have to look at it is nothing last forever. Someday the Jays will get real ownership and a real stadium. With Chicago sports it seemed that the Tribune Co. would own the cubs forever and Bill Wirtz would own the Blackhawks forever and these teams would never win. Tribune Co. sold because the newspaper business is dying and the Cubs were worth big$$$ Bill Wirtz died and Rocky took over. Key thing for the Jays fans is to just somehow survive this until things get better.

Bruinsfan youre team just won a World Series calm your breastslol. lol i want lester back, i hated the trade i dont like the roid freak they traded for. i dont get upset about what rich owners have to spend on players and i think lester deserves the some pretty special treatment for those world series where he played his best. So yea i want them to give him what he wants and stop being dinks this ownership group is so weird but they listen to public pressure unlike the other owners in town (kraft jacobs)

What I don't get is why they and Tampa wanted the farm from Toronto for their loaner pitchers but ended up with far less from other teams. Sure theyre divisional rivals but anyone can see that by the time the Sox or Rays are competative again the Jays won't be. You go with the trade that gives your team the best return. I dunno wierd moves I guess.
