Canucks: First non-sellout since '02

The Vancouver Canucks' sellout streak ended at 474 games Saturday night with a less-than-capacity crowd at Rogers Arena in a 4-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The last time the Canucks didn't play in front of a full house at home was on Nov. 12, 2002, when they beat the St. Louis Blues 6-3.

I was at that 2002 game! Funny!

Interesting that the streak ends on a Saturday night when Steven Stamkos was in town. If they couldn't sell-out that game, then there will be a lot of none sell-out games to come.

^^^ Probably. But the Canucks will still be fine and get a great gate anyway for the year. Still the owner better be careful and lower prices. Vancouver is the most expensive city in the world housing wise if I'm not mistaken. I don't think you can raise prices indefinitely even in Canada and put a crap product on the ice. Something is going to give. Next Canadian team's steak that will end will be Edmonton.
