Brandon has outplayed Calgary badly. They needed overtime, but won the game, and how are 2-0. The series shifts West to Kelowna for Games 3 and 4.

The series shifts West to Kelowna for Games 3 and 4. Why Kelowna? Oops. I meant Calgary. I'm thinking ahead of myself. Kelowna will likely be the team Brandon has to beat, if they defeat the Hitmen.

The Brandon Wheat Kings are one win away from advancing to the WHL Championship for the first time since 2004-05. The Wheaties scored 5 second period goals at the Saddledome, to rout the home town Calgary Hitmen 8-3. The Wheat Kings will try and finish the series on Friday in Brandon.

The Brandon Wheat Kings are Eastern Conference Champions. The Wheaties defeated the Hitmen 8-2, to win the series 4 games to 1. This is the first time Brandon has appeared in the WHL Championship since 2004-05. They will face the winner of the Kelowna Rockets-Portland Winter Hawks series.

Well the Calgary series was a huge mismatch actually. Kelowna will probably be a sterner test but I hope the Wheaties can pull it off. They have explosive scoring depth (or maybe Calgary was just crap).

The Wheat Kings run ended last night, as they were swept in the WHL Championship against the Kelowna Rockets. It's disappointing, but Brandon is a younger team, having mainly 17-18 year olds, while Kelowna had mainly 18-19 year olds, so next year Brandon should really shine. The Kelowna Rockets and Josh Morrisssey will represent the WHL in the Memorial Cup FInal.

With all the talk focused on the Jets lottery win, and the IIHF World Championships, the Brandon Wheat Kings have quietly pulled out to a 2-0 lead in the WHL Championship series against the Seattle T-Birds. Brandon has not won the WHL Championship in 20 years. If they finish off Seattle, they will advance to the Memorial Cup in Red Deer.

The Brandon Wheat Kings are one win away from their first WHL Championship in 20 years. The Wheaties defeated the Seattle T-Birds 3-2 in Overtime to take a 3-0 series lead.

Speaking of the Wheat Kings... I know Shaw is showing the games, has anybody with MTS found a channel or no? Shaw has the rights and produces the game so MTS can't show it. No streams are available other then through open source software such as Kodi kodi.tv/about/Set up video:

Game 5 is on right now. Brandon is up 3-1 in the series, and is leading 2-1 after the first intermission in Seattle. I hope they can finish the series off tonight.
