Poll isn't really a thread. I vote Hellebuyck.

Who's it going to be or who should it be? Two different questions.
It's going to be Ondrej.

Would like to see Hellebuyck be pavies back up. and see what we can get for hutch. Im pretty sure chevy isnt going to eat pavies contract otherwise i would say test pavs in the market. Hellebuyck showed some amazing skill against the worlds top Hockey players! Winnipegs sure on the up and up. GO JETS GO

To be fair, the cupboards were bare, especially in regards to goaltenders, when the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg. Now we have a logjam of promising goalies. Unfortunately, we can't do much with Pavelec, since the contract of his is back-loaded, as he will make $4.25 million this season, and $4.75 million in 2016-17. Ideally, I would love to see Hellebuyck shine this season, but if that happens, we may be forced to trade away one goalie, and since nobody will touch Pavelec with his contract, Hutch may be the odd man out. Obviously, I would not want to get rid of Hutchinson, but if Hellebuyck plays like he did at the World Championships, we may be forced to choose between Helle and Hutch.

I'm not sure when this happened but listening to Comrie's interview he mentioned Rick St Croix being our goals coach. When did that happen and why I wonder?
I'm hoping that's a good thing! Goaltending coaches are very important in this day and age.

Why didn't we try an move Pavelec when there were a few teams looking.
Vancouver has traded away it's starting Goaltender from the previous 3 seasons and they seem to be doing okay, right?
Wonder where Ryan Miller is going next season?

Goaltending coaches are very important in this day and age. He's the goalie coach for everyone but the big team....Flaherty is still the Jets' goalie coach and St. Croix is for the drafted goalies.

Three top goalies: Luongo, Schneider, and Lack. All gone. Miller, who is well past his prime, is the only one left. The Canucks should ahve anointed Schneider as starting goalie by 2012, and kept him there for years. Now he is carrying a horrible Devils team, and performing well. Luongo is back in Florida and happy. Eddie Lack will do well with the Hurricanes.
