I just happened to check out some polls. It looks like the Liberals may win the election, as the latest polls indicate they have opened up a 5 point lead on the Conservatives, and the NDP has lost support. If you happen to live in the Charleswood-St.James, you may want to vote, as it's literally a tie between Liberals and Conservatives. Elmwood-Transcona is really close too.

Where did you see that Charleswood / St James is that close? Fletcher's winning the sign war in a big way from what I've seen...

The Federal Liberal's economic plan is a blueprint for disaster. Saddle up Canadians, were about to go on Mr. Greece's Wild Ride.

There are more seniors than there are people in their 20s. Don't kid yourself, pot being legalized didn't win this election. 2014/15 - The official return of the "White Out"!!

if he wants to accomplish all those promises he made, he better legalize pot. THAT is what will pay for it all!

Your bang on and I hope he will legalize it, but sadly he won't, if it ever happens it will have to happen provincially, just like it is happening in the states. He made crazier promises than the NDP normally does so that was very attractive to NDPers, save the middle class and because you don't fit into that 66 to 120K bracket you are a bad guy and need to pay more for working hard!

Nope it was promises that if acted on could cripple this country did, and finally people may see what a real recession or maybe even better a depression looks like.

There are more seniors than there are people in their 20s. Don't kid yourself, pot being legalized didn't win this election. 2014/15 - The official return of the "White Out"!! True but I'd be curious just how much it helped. I feel like it was one of those things where no one would really be turned off by it, but a sizeable group of people probably voted for him just because of it. I've never smoked pot in my life and probably never will if that helps describe any bias I might have on this issue... Anywho, I'm fine with the Liberals winning. Probably would have preferred a minority government, but the way so many people are acting like this spells automatic doom for Canada within a year is just hilarious. People do realize the Liberals have governed this country for what, like 70% of our existence right? I probably lean at least 80% towards the "Conservative" point of view, but there was enough shady stuff going on in Ottawa that it was time for a change. I don't normally like huge deficit spending, but IF the money is spent wisely I actually do kind of think there is some logic to investing in assets while borrowing rates are at historically low levels. That is what most well-managed businesses are doing and several wealthy investors as well, so to some degree I think it could make sense for the Country as well. Of course the big thing is HOW the money ends up being spent. I also do agree that increasing the TFSA to $10,000 per year and the universal child tax benefit are expensive programs that benefit the wealthy. I'm in a fairly high tax bracket now, and probably going to have a couple kids before this Liberal term is up, so I would have personally benefited more from the PC child care system and will receive less under the Liberal one, but I think it makes more sense. Social welfare spending really should be focused on the people who need it, otherwise it's just a tax and spend program that Conservatives should theoretically be against.
