Although I do not know if this would have been accurate or not, I thought the following was some fun read. It's a fictional story of what could have happened if the Nordiques had stayed in Quebec after '95. It goes from a '96 cup without Patrick Roy, who is traded to the Jets for Khabibulin during that season to an eventual 1998 relocation of the Nordiques to Atlanta, becoming the Colonials, while Colorado got an Avalanche expansion team the year before. Sometimes that kinda made me wish the Nords had stayed in Quebec for one extra season, though. I wonder if they could have done it for real without roy? That said, they considered doing like the Expos if they stayed, if I remember, trading all their star players to save money, so maybe not... Anyway here's the article (I don't know if I am allowed to copy it here and also sorry if my topic is in the wrong section): www.nordiquespreservation.com/whatif.htmlThis article is from 1997. Also, the logo at the page top was actually really gonna be the 95-96 season logo. It appeared in news around March '95. Also lol at the Atlanta Colonials name.
