Which players would you not have a problem with being moved to another organization?
I did not include Byfuglien, since he has a NMC, and wants to stay near his home I did not include Hutch or Pavelec, since nobody will take them. I did not include Enstrom, as he is one of the top two LHD, and provides much needed defensive depth. I did not include the remainder of the Jets players since I highly doubt any team will be looking at Thorburn, Tanev, etc. I did not include young players on ELC (Lowry, Copp, Petan, etc) or prospects (Connr, Roslovic, Lemieux, etc) since the Jets have employed a "draft and develop" model. Wheeler, Scheifele, Trouba, Ehlers, Hellebuyck, Morrissey, Laine, Myers, and Little should be untouchable, unless we get an incredible offer.
Also, what should we get in return for the player you hope is traded away?
A draft pick? A prospect? A reliable veteran NHL player? etc....

2nd round pick for Stafford?

I think we'd be lucky to get a 4th rounder for Stafford considering how his season has gone, but that would be better than nothing. Considering he's presumably playing for his next contract, there appears to be shockingly little in the tank to help anyone significantly in a playoff run.

You'd get a second rounder for Stafford if the Jets throw in their 1st LOL

Teams know people want to move players to give them more flexibility for protection and exposing, so the market for guys like Perreault will also decline.
I don't expect much to happen. After the draft should be more interesting for Jets fans.

The Jets don't have a lot that is worth anything besides Perreault and Stafford. Stafford being the only true rental since he will be a UFA. I doubt you get more than a 3rd - 5th rounder for Stafford though, the way he has played this year. Perreault would get more in return but I think it's unlikely he will be dealt given how much term he has left on his contract.
Expect to see a quiet deadline by the Jets especially now that reality has set in and we know how far back we are instead of the contrived 1 point out bs some people were holding on to around this city. We aren't buyers and we don't have much worth selling.

I suspect that the majority of activity for Jet's management will be used to book flights and tee-times.

Get rid of Stafford for whatever a team is willing to pay. And I wouldn't mind seeing Perrault moved despite still having term to his contract. He's been quite injury prone last couple of seasons and his offensive output (especially goals) has detoriated. I feel like Petan or Connor could step into his role and be just as effective, if not more.

I was hoping Chevy would go after Bishop but apparently the only team to go after him was the Kings. According to Yzerman.

I wouldn't give up a 4th for a guy who's going to play 18 games as a Jet. Plus his injury issues. He wants a long term deal, so he'd only be around for the season.

Yup, it's the reason they didn't make a move in net this season, and signed Hutch last. One has to wonder how much this expansion draft kinked the teams plans. I know I do.

This sort of situation (expansion draft) is where the good (and devious) GMs shine.

Indeed, and it looks like the worst we can do is lose a goalie that is no better than Pavelec, a bottom 2 blueliner, or a 3/4 th liner with a bit of upside. Well done!
